See AQForm lighting recognised with the prestigious German Design Award

The German Design Award is one of the most renowned international design prizes. Awarded by the German Design Council to innovative projects for ten years now, it has been regarded as synonymous with quality design. We are very happy that our collections MODERN BALL and PET next were among the awarded products.

This year's Jury of the competition comprised a total of 37 experts representing 10 nationalities. Jury members included representatives of business, science and the design industry. Our luminaires have been awarded the title of Winner in the Excellent Product Design. This title is granted to products that particularly excel in their field.

Both collections are characterised by a combination of timeless, minimalist form with high utility values and attention to the quality of illumination. After all, well-chosen lighting is not only a stylish addition to the interior – it is above all an important contributing factor to our everyday comfort.

The lunar geometry of MODERN BALL

The MODERN BALL collection responds to a specific need, i.e. lighting that brings together a decorative function with maximum visual comfort. We invited the Czech design studio DECHEM, which specialises in working with glass, to collaborate on the project. The result is a distinctive duo of handcrafted glass and machine-processed aluminum that combines comfortable light with aesthetic form.

The stylish minimalism of PET next

PET next is a comprehensive product family, in which concern for the comfort of the interior user and maximum optimisation of technical parameters have been encapsulated in a compact form. This unique, decorative ring has a double function: it increases the shielding angle and allows you to play around with the finish. Thanks to the possibility of choosing the colour of the decorative ring, it is easier to integrate the lighting with other design details.

We are very pleased that the German Design Council has once again appreciated the design and functionality of our luminaires! Earlier, the awards in 2017 went to the LENS LINE and QRLED family and in a previous year, the title of Special Mention was won by the equilibra BALANS luminaire.
