EMOT – small form, big impact on the space

Effective lighting doesn’t always require large luminaires. In circulation areas – such as staircases, corridors or transitional zones – what matters most is clarity of direction, user safety, and visual comfort after dark. EMOT was designed with exactly these needs in mind.

This is a compact recessed luminaire that blends into the wall and subtly illuminates floors or stair treads, serving as a night-time guide. The light is directed precisely where it’s needed – without glare or unnecessary spill.

Lighting that leads the way

The primary role of EMOT is to provide discreet yet effective illumination at floor level, significantly improving orientation in the dark. Thanks to its precisely angled beam, EMOT doesn’t shine directly into the eyes, but highlights what really matters – the direction of movement.

Design tip:
For staircases, we recommend installation at 20–30 cm from the floor. In corridors, a slightly higher mounting height – around 40–60 cm – helps increase the spread of light while keeping the effect subtle.

Two shapes, wide range of finishes

EMOT is available in two shapes: round and rectangular. Both versions are designed to sit almost flush with the wall, making it easy to integrate into the architecture. The wide range of colour finishes further supports visual cohesion – whether the luminaire is meant to stand out or disappear into the background.

Design tip:
EMOT works well as night-time orientation lighting, helping to avoid stark light contrasts when moving between softly lit spaces. This makes it ideal for hotel corridors, but also for private interiors.
Just remember to combine EMOT with other lighting sources to ensure adequate overall illumination. In darker corridors, using a black fitting on a light wall (or the reverse) can enhance the effect. In more refined interiors, matching EMOT to the wall colour ensures it becomes visible only when switched on.

Everyday comfort and safety

EMOT not only contributes to atmosphere after dark – it also enhances safety, particularly in areas lacking natural light or used in low-light conditions. It’s a practical solution for private homes, hospitality settings, office buildings or educational facilities.

Design tip:
In hotels or serviced apartments, EMOT can serve as a discreet guiding light – present only when needed, and exactly where it should be.

EMOT is a great example of how precise light and well-designed form can improve everyday comfort. Almost invisible during the day, yet essential at night – this luminaire works exactly where it’s needed. With subtlety. With precision. With the user in mind.
