White and black, softened with gentle shades of grey, create a timeless foundation for an elegant interior. This is the principle the architects at Galway Interior Design followed when creating a rental home in Ireland. Minimalism and elegance meet subtle colour accents, while modern lighting brings flexibility and helps shape the atmosphere. But which luminaires did the designers choose — and why did they work so well?

Modern and adaptable

The living room combined with the kitchen forms the heart of the home — a space that’s constantly in use. Lighting here needs to be as versatile as the interior itself. In the day area, the architects chose RAFTER, providing comfortable general illumination. The kitchen, on the other hand, is lit with the SET TRU collection, whose deeply recessed LEDs offer precise, pleasant task lighting. Both types of luminaires were installed in the MULTITRACK system, allowing them to be repositioned freely and adapted to changing needs.

Lighting shaped by function

In the bedroom, PET micro offers focused illumination for evening reading without tiring the eyes. In the bathrooms, lighting around the mirror is handled by THIN TUBE and SET RAW, both in hermetic versions with increased protection — ideal for areas exposed to moisture. Just like in the living area, the corridor is lit with RAFTER multitrack, providing ample general illumination and ensuring the space feels clear and easy to navigate.
