New finishes that lend luminaires distinctive character

In lighting, colour can change a great deal. It can emphasise luminaire character, sit more naturally within material and colour composition of interior, or become deliberate accent that draws eye and completes scheme. That’s why AQForm finish palette is expanding with new shades, and BRUTAL collection is growing with additional luminaire families. Result is even more ways to design coherently and consciously, with attention to detail and aesthetics.

Burgundy and sandy, finishes that fit naturally into project

Alongside familiar AQForm finishes such as white, black, gold, grey, terracotta and taupe, two new colours join palette: burgundy and sandy. Both broaden ways to integrate luminaires with interior, but do so in very different ways.

Burgundy is deep, saturated tone sitting between wine red and dark red. It lends luminaires richer feel, visual depth and more refined character. It suits interiors that welcome stronger colour accent while staying elegant. It pairs beautifully with warm timber, stone and darker-toned details.

Sandy is light shade inspired by colour of sand. Warm, soft and subtle, it fits interiors with lighter, more restrained aesthetic. It works well with natural materials, light timber, textiles and calmer palettes. It brings sense of lightness to luminaires and feels at home in residential spaces as well as hospitality interiors.

Go beyond standard and choose colour with confidence

Alongside burgundy and sandy, now part of standard finishes, there are three further options for projects where colour is meant to play more expressive role: Shamrock Green, Straw Yellow i Ocean Blue.

  • Shamrock Green - fresh, saturated green that draws attention and brings new energy.
  • Straw Yellow – warm yellow shade inspired by straw, brightening composition and adding lightness.
  • Ocean Blue – cool blue tone that adds depth and works well with schemes with more contemporary character.

These finishes encourage you to see luminaire not only as fitting, but as important part of wider visual concept. Colour becomes compositional tool. It can strengthen interior character, build identity, act as clear counterpoint, or complete whole scheme in bold way.

New versions of BRUTAL collection

BRUTAL collection was created to capture rawness of aluminium in its purest form. Surfaces are not painted. Instead, after machining, material is protected with thin layer of clear, satin lacquer that protects while preserving authentic character.

Until now, collection included luminaires such as CONA, KLIVA, TRIBA and OPTIMA. Now it also expands to include: PET, HOLLOW, SET TRU, RAFTER, MIXLINE and EMOT. This is important extension, giving designers more freedom to build cohesive concepts using different luminaire types and lighting functions. One finish can now link decorative solutions with more technical ones within same project, making it easier to keep whole interior coherent.

Detail that changes whole perception

New AQForm finishes show how strongly colour and material influence perception of luminaire. They can subtly complete scheme, emphasise interior character, or become expressive accent that deliberately brings order to whole composition. Burgundy, sandy, Shamrock Green, Straw Yellow, Ocean Blue, along with BRUTAL expansion, give designers even more ways to create cohesive, refined, visually consistent spaces. Luminaire becomes not only source of light, but important part of interior aesthetics.
